Well that was exciting; with 48 hours to go until the show opens its doors we have just delivered the first parts to a new customer who found us thanks to the pre-show publicity. A UK manufacturing business called us on Tuesday last week to ask us to look at an injection moulding project; they had been planning their visit to the show and were seeking a precision moulder but decided to get in touch with us in advance. Through that conversation they realised that we could also help them with a cable assembly that a Chinese supplier had let them down on. We received drawings on Tuesday and quoted the same day, a purchase order duly arrived on Wednesday and by Thursday we had begun to receive components from various suppliers and were able to set up processes and train operators so that by 11 am this morning we had delivered the first batch to our customer.
We were very pleased to be able to turn things around so fast – we always aim to impress with our quality and service and hope that this is a good omen for the rest of the show. See you there.
